We took a day trip to Guernsey (one of the Channel Islands), sailing from Poole on the Condor Vitesse. It was very interesting to sail out of Poole harbour and see our town from such a different perspective. The channel crossing was 3 hours each way, with a few hours on the island to potter, have a beer or three, then dinner before heading home.
